MyGolfSpy on SUBTXT: He Didn't Know How to Design a Golf Shoe, But He Built a Golf Shoe Company Anyway

MyGolfSpy ran a story on SUBTXT this week. Tyler Allred wrote it, and the headline is theirs: He Didn't Know How To Design A Golf Shoe But He Built A Golf Shoe Company Anyway.
It covers the whole thing. The decision in 2019 between going to work in lumber and building something myself. The skate shoe idea it started as, with running shoe foam in it, after I broke my fibula in three places. Learning the actual job, CADs and patterns and inventory. The first upper that was 100% recycled, cheap, and fell apart in water, and why that sent us to leather and suede. Why production stayed with DMG International in the Dominican Republic instead of moving to China.

One line from me that they pulled out, and that I stand behind: it has to perform first. The sustainability is your cherry on top.
Tyler has tested dozens of golf shoes over the last three years. His call on the Macaw Golf at $210 was that you'll be hard-pressed to find something this good that is also more affordable. We're there for the walker, the person who just wants comfort.
Grateful for the time and the read. The full article is on MyGolfSpy, and the shoe they wrote about is the Macaw Golf.
