SUBTXT “A Hole” Series – Constructed One-of-One Appliqué Garments

The SUBTXT A Hole Series is a constructed, one-of-one collection built from multiple garments sourced and combined into a single finished piece.

Each A Hole garment is assembled from three to four separate items to build a complete golf scene:

• A green garment becomes the putting surface

• A brown-toned garment is used to form the sand

• A flannel pattern is cut and applied as the golf flag

• The golf ball, club, and flagstick are cut from a crewneck sweatshirt

Every element is cut by hand and sewn into place, creating a layered appliqué that reads clearly from a distance but reveals its complexity up close. Multiple garments will feature the same A Hole scene until those garments are no longer usable. 

This process is intentional and time-intensive. The garments are not modified for mass production — they are deconstructed, rebuilt, and finished individually. Variations in texture, fade, and stitching are not flaws; they document the materials’ previous lives.

Built one at a time. Worn however you want.
